On Monday, March 21st, and in the context of the Month of Memory, La Plata streamer Martín Pérez Disalvo “Coscu” and his brother Pedro performed a live broadcast on Twitch from the ESMA Museum and Site of Memory, which they named Stream for Memory.

Together with Agustina Grisolia, the young men took a guided tour of the former Clandestine Center of Detention, Torture and Extermination joined by Museum guide Luciano Donoso, and Ricardo Coquet, a survivor.

During the broadcast, and in front of thousands of mostly young followers, they told story of their uncle, Pedro Alfredo «Bocha» Disalvo, a medical student and militant of the Peronist Youth, who was kidnapped in an operation by the First Army Corps in 1977, when he was just 22 years old. They also spoke about the systematic extermination and disappearance plan carried out by the Armed Forces and recalled the permanent struggle of their grandmother Galeana Di Francesco, who died in 2015, and was part of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Association.

At the beginning of the meeting, both Martín and Pedro expressed what the stream meant for them. «The idea of this stream is to be able to remember all together, and to show what happened here and why it is so important to us, and that it can help some of you to have at least some idea,» said Pedro. For his part, Martín was very moved, and said: «I hope you like it, that you can join us and understand the identity of my family and the memory for which we are all here today together.»

The stream lasted about 3 hours and was followed by almost 3000 young viewers.
